Autism
Evidence suggests autistic people, may be at a higher risk of suicide compared with those who are not autistic. It is essential that health, mental health, and local authority services and education providers consider the needs of autistic people and have the right knowledge and skills to provide safe and compassionate care for autistic people.
Autism and Suicide Awareness Training
Free Autism and Suicide Awareness training is available online from the Zero Suicide Alliance. The training is co-produced with members of the autistic community. It aims to share information about autism and suicide risk, coach you on spotting the signs and supporting an autistic person, and provide resources for further support.
