The BLMK Suicide Prevention Partnership Network Meeting gathered key stakeholders like Thames Valley Police, Mind BLMK, Bedford Samaritans and Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to discuss vital initiatives in suicide prevention. The meeting emphasised the significance of learning disabilities and autism suicide prevention awareness, guidance on memorials, and the Small Talk Saves Life campaign by Samaritans.A verbal presentation was also delivered by X-4rce on the importance of men’s mental health.

X-4rce is a men’s mental health group which offer weekly groups for men aged 18+ from anywhere in Bedfordshire at their face-to-face venues in Luton and Dunstable. They also have an online group which is open to any male regardless of location.

The topics for the next meeting in May will focus on online harms and middle aged men.
